I've been receiving lotsa spam lately. But one of the junk mails I had to investigate. It wanted me to vote for my favorite candy bar. I must admit that I seldom purchase them now that I'm officially middle aged.
But as a kid, spending $2 on candy and staying up late to watch Nightmare Theater on friday nights was the highlight of my week! So I figured many freepers have similar pleasant recollections. So here's the best of the best:
Top 7 Candy Bars of All Time
7. Cadbury Milk Chocolate with nuts. The Brits do some things right!
6. Ghiraldelli Flicks. May be extinct at this time
5. Heath. Toffee and chocolate!!
4. Payday. Nice and salty!
3. Peanut Butter Goo Goo Cluster. The best of the Peanut butter candies
2. Oh Henry. The perfect combination of peanuts, caramel and chocolate.
1. Whoppers. I used to be able to eat a whole carton in one sitting!

You've sadly neglected the Chunky, the Mr. Goodbar, and Hershey's Special Dark.
I don't know what it is that makes me love the fairly pedestrian Mr. Goodbar, but I do.

Marathon Bar. Best candy bar ever. Sadly, they quit making them in the early eighties.

I'm not a big fan of candy but if I were going to bother it would have to be a Maple Bun. God, those are good.

If Whoppers are a candy bar then so are M&M's. M&M's get my vote. Then perhaps a Milkyway dark. Next would be Russell Stover's mint patties (the dark chocolate ones). And then dark chocolate Lindt.

Butterfinger
Cadbury Fruit and Nuts
Nestle's Milk Chocolate
Kit Kat
Milky Way Dark
Time for dinner.

I'm not a huge fan of Hershey's chocolate. Hence, no Mr. Goodbar on my list!

I don't know what it is that makes me love the fairly pedestrian Mr. Goodbar, but I do.My mother in law sets out a HUGE dish of the minatures at the holidays and my brother in law and I damn near come to blows trying to get those first.
Okay, maybe I eat more candy than I realize.
