Didn't we see a story just like this about a year ago? Bizarre. Wonder if they'll go "color blind" casting for the next Bond. That's the "in thing" now.

Don't recall that, but in April Dame Dench said Pierce would be back for the next one.

Celebrity can be so fleeting. . .

I think Jude Law would be perfect for the role. James Bond should always be English as Shaft should be African American, and Indiana Jones should White and American. I wouldn't cast a Korean to be Luke Skywalker in the 1977's Star Wars. We must not be so thin skinned with respect to characters written with specific attributes, but not all. I grew up with the Cosbys a black family along side the Keatons and thought nothing of it. Later we even had trailer trash represented in Rosanne. I never would have thought that the Cosbys should adopt someone for the sake of diversity.

I think that would be a good idea, actually. The series could use a jolt. I coudn't even make it through the last movie, it was so dull.
