As a local - I agree with everything you said.
Were you surprised by the departure of Woody aka Kurt?
I wasn't "surprised" per se. I think that Woody's past his prime to put it nicely. It's sad also because Woody was not only a guy I always liked but it's a left handed pitcher that hasn't performed very well.
Never have I seen a season that just blew up in our faces like this one.
