Do 'Support our troops' stickers mean anything?
Palm Beach Post ^ | Friday, August 12, 2005 | WILLIAM M. SADLER

About Sunday's article "In insurgent war, bombs trump bullets as killers," please allow me to connect the dots:

Most of the U.S. casualties in Iraq have been caused by roadside bombs. The bombs are built from military munitions. The munitions come from unguarded ammunition dumps. The dumps are unguarded because we don't have enough troops. We are shorthanded because the White House vetoed massive force as too expensive. The war is being fought on the cheap because President Bush wanted his ill-advised tax cuts. The tax cuts are the direct cause of American blood in Iraq. My Marines are dying so Mr. Bush's friends can buy another yacht.

If you really support our troops, write to your representatives in Congress and demand an end to tax cuts for the rich. If you don't write your representatives, take the "Support our troops" stickers off your cars.

Read this in that liberal pile of fish wrap called the Palm Beach Post in the Letters to the Editor section. I've seen a lot idiocy from the left, but this one is about as good as it gets.

The munitions come from unguarded ammunition dumps I heard that they were coming from Iran. So do you think he wants more troops so we can go to war with Iran? And of course, tax revenues are up over projections because of the tax cuts...so doesn't he want MORE tax cuts to pay for the new war in Iran?

Yeah, this guy is an idiot. Probably had a Y2K bunker in his yard. But he does seem to represent the wild rantings of the typical Marxist Bush haters.

I suspect that's not even true. The majority of new
casualties might be from IEDs, but not the majority
of the ~1800.

> The bombs are built from military munitions.

Mostly, but not entirely true.

> The munitions come from unguarded ammunition dumps.

"came", maybe. I doubt there are any dumps left that
haven't been secured or destroyed. The perps are
having to bring the stuff in from Syria and Iran now.

Dear William,
If you did your homework you would discover a little ditty about explosives coming from Iran! You are proving my theory about West Palm Beach having the largest concentration of dumb@sses in Florida.

I just love this line:

The tax cuts are the direct cause of American blood in Iraq.

What is the logic for that statement? Like maybe we sent troops to Iraq to defend tax cuts.
