Terrorist Recruiting Video, or Monty Python sketch?
television news | 8/10/05 | seams2me

Just saw the video for the first time. I wasn't sure if it was a joke, or if it was real! The guy has an accent that sounds English or Australian. He rants in such a goofy way that it reminded me of the Peoples Judean Front vs the People's Front of Judea.

I really thought for a moment it was a Python sketch!

Watching this on O'Reilly just now, I expected to see the guy's arm come off at any given moment and quarts of tomato juice to come squirting out!

"Your arm's off!" "Tis but a scratch!"

"You're using coconuts!!!!"

"come back here and fight like a man!"

Is it just me, or did snyone else have this reaction? Maybe I watched waaaaaaay too much public television in the 70's!

He seems like a punk kid to me and it makes me want to smack the SOB. He talks a good game for someone who's going to die a violent death one way or the other.

Well, I don't have to tell you, we expected that sumbitch to light up like a Christmas tree and flat-out walk the dog. But it didn't. Turns out the new orange shag carpet I'd put on the floor was so thick it was keeping the cool "barefoot" gas pedal I'd installed from going all the way down.

This is just one of the many examples of American ingenuity. The problem was solved by trial and error, if you will, and we need more of that going on. Our wide-eyed sense of wonder should no longer be reserved exclusively for Ron Popeil's pasta maker......although she's a real honey, ain't she?

And speaking of Popeil.....You know, you can wrap any bullsh*t product up in an infomercial with some British guy in a sweater that's almost as loud as he is and we'll accept it with the breathless, unquestioning faith of a fourteen-year-old girl answering a chain letter. "Hmmmm....Extracts the moisture out of a heretofore succulent piece of fruit, thereby rendering it better. Sure, I'll take two."

Jaysun,

I am talking about how much that video reminded me of a Monty Python sketch.

What video? I thought you were simply posting nonsensical ramblings for the fun of it, that's why mine is so irrational.

I've read about this video. I'd like to know about what US bases were overrun by the Al Qaeda/Taliban? When did they get their hands on US computers and intelligence? That was glanced over rather quickly during the interview.
