Report: Owens leaves Eagles camp

There are reports this afternoon that wide receiver Terrell Owens exchanged words with Head Coach Andy Reid at a team meeting and was asked to leave.
Owens then got his belongings and cleared out of Eagles training camp at Lehigh University, according to one television report.
The Inquirer will update and confirm this information as soon as possible.

They built this team around good character guys and last year, in an effort to get over the hump, they decided to roll the dice on the guy. At the time the thinking was, "He's a loud mouth jerk, but he's not getting busted for drugs or beating up women, so maybe we can deal with it." He was a good soldier last year, but it looks like we're going to pay a heavy price for him this year.
With Pinky out for the season, if T.O. doesn't return, you're looking at a receiving corps of Greg Lewis, Billy McMullin, Reggie Brown, and literally a bunch of UDFAs. That'll be the worst WR corps in the league.

Don't get me started, her brother should have never got involved with that scheme, what was it in St. Louis?
Her husband is a first class idiot.
Free Eddie DeBartolo!! OK, so he's not in jail but he doesn't control the team anymore.

With Collins and Moss already there the Raiders would just need to acquire Jeremy Shockey for the All-Asshole Passing Game.

I suppose I could root for the Panthers, if the Skins and the Falcons were somehow wiped from the earth before the season started.
Go Skins! and go Falcons as long as you aren't playing the Skins. (I grew up near DC but have lived in Atlanta for 14 years now so I've kinda adopted the Falcons.)

I think it was New Orleans, actually.

T.O is a gifted athlete but his piss poor attitude nullifies his talent. The player with great talent who gives 110% to his team on every down is worth more to a team than a selfish superstar who has a chip on his shoulder.Owens might be among the top two players at his position but he causes more trouble than he's worth. The NFL should teach Owens a lesson by showing him how little he means to the success of the league. He needs the NFL far more than it needs him.

Reid and the Eagles knew exactly what they were getting. They shouldn't complain now.

BWA-HAHAHAHAH. As a Cowboys fan, I hope he walks straight off a pier. I despise this guy---although he is right about McNabbit, who is one of the biggest big-game chokers I've ever seen, reminding me of our own Craig Morton from the 1970s.

I cannot stand the guy and would enjoy seeing him fail, but "over rated" he is not.
He is a superb receiver.

He never did do anything illegal. To this day, I wonder how much of the transfer was due to finances. They had him on TV this weekend and he was living in Montana.
