Tennessee authorities: "We are searching door to door"
"We have not yet looked at the security video from the parking lot"
"The Ford Explorer driven by Jennifer Hyatte was later found abandoned with blood on the driver's side, and police think she may have been wounded when the uninjured guard returned fire, Washam said. Authorities believe the pair switched from the SUV to a van."
Top of the hour ABC radio news reported that a "substantial" amount of blood was found.
It is possible that Hyatte may have died from her injuries. The husband has a better chance of evading capture without hauling a injured person around. Plus, authorities are looking for two people - motivation for him to get rid of her. With all the media coverage, it's hard to believe they haven't been spotted yet.

You, of course, make perfect sense...however...How many girls you know would break you out of prison? I think he's gonna keep this one...
I live in OH/KY area and our local stations said they thought they were spotted on I-75 around Dry Ridge KY (30 miles south of Cincy). Anyone else hear this too?
T
Excellent point.
But he'll never go back to prison, so he won't need her again.
cpanter,
I have heard from several reports that she was a home health care nurse in Hendersonville. She borrowed the van that was the getaway car from the family she worked for. So, I'd assume she was living there.
tray-sea,
Didn't here that one. But if they headed up I-75 they'd had to have came right up past me.
YoungBlackRepublican,
I'd be willing to bet he only used her to get out of prison, and wouldn't want an injured person holding him back.
And she could be dead from her bullet wounds.
Description of Escape: Subject was leaving the Roane County Courthouse under secure supervision when a van driven by a female believed to be the prisoners wife pulled up and opened fire injuring one correctional officer. The prisoner jumped into the van and they fled."
The van part should say Explorer but I guess it relieves them of explaining both vehicles.
They should probably point out that the officer was KILLED also.
Yeah..that's an important little tidbit they missed huh..geez....
As blood thirsty as this may sound...I hope the cops have no choice but to shoot to kill....
FNC now reporting that the sheriff is saying he knows where the man is. No mention of his wife.
Steve and Ali were too pretty to play this pair. We need ughly actors!
Isn't borrowed too kind of a word to use here?
They have may have spent the night at the motel.
Hope that is true, but why would he even say that?
Bienvinedos A La Aruba!
(That was in Dutch, right??)

It is not blood thirsty. We got human beoigs with rabies here. We do not cure such cases. We need to shoot on sight. Please, Lord, give the officers cover for a clean kill.
I know, I know - this is fraught with problems. But, cop killers are a group who have placed themselves in a "special" category. Could we get law that these vermin get an extra speedy trial? Say one appeal? Then punishment.
30 days sounds about right for that.
