You get the feeling he IS cryin' out loud!
LOL, too funny. Thanks for the laugh.
Mick Jagger, like the rest of the left, has "Sympathy for the Devil."
Their name was taken from the Willie Dixon song that Muddy Waters made famous. You're right and yet it's a fact that's been glossed over. People like the Rolling Stoners and a few other imitators got famous by ripping off the black American blues artists.
Dude, can you shrink that graphic to a more manageable size? It takes up a huge block of space on my "My Posts" page and extends all my text out to the right.
There is a great music magazine called MOJO.
If I could beat ya, if I could cheat ya
with seats each $425
Would it be enough for my greedy heart
If my singing makes you cry? Makes you cry...
I said I know it's only bashing Bush but I like it
I know it's only bashing Bush but I like it, like it, yes, I do
Oh, well, I like it, I like it, I like it
I said can't you see that this old boy needs more money?

Isn't that the truth. Worth repeating. Imitating is so flattering.
Nice parody!!!

Oh, no, I'm still on the waiting list to bring him his coffee!!
This sounds like an appropriate Freeping concert attendance activity. Non violent, butt filled with adequately descriptive sentiments of what the Jaggoff is singing about our country, and leader!
Maybe a melted hershey, or baby ruth in the middle.

Al Franken, it that you? Don't you have some more children's charities to rip off?
That pic is from 1979, I think....
The Rolling Stones' main audience these days is that segment of the Boomers that has refused to recognize that the 60's have been over for almost 40 years, and so they'll lap this slop up and beg for more.
Dear Jimbo,
While I haven't heard the new album,I can tell you that Peter Shure(the bigest Stone's fan in the world)...one who plays by ear every song by ear on piano, considers them the greatest Rock Band of all time,Mick: the greatest lyricist ever..and Keith..a genious for creating their music....is very ANGRY and Disappointed!
Mick never wrote about his political views..never bashed America..and never abused his popularity to convey a message about something like this.
Yes..."Rape, Murder, Lucifer,Squirmin' dog, Gold Coast Slave,Flea bit peanut monkey, junkies, toothless bearded hag..and so on...."were classic STONES! Those lyrics defined him as MICK and the boys.
What a pity, that at this time in mour lives and all the Stone's fans, he makes a fool of himself and negates everything that he and the Stones have always stood for.
I can only say that if the album and lyrics to the bashings are really true, I can only think of them as a great memory and source of music pleasure that I will always treasure.
AS a ticket holder of some very good seats as always, I can't look at them the same way ever again.And...I have no desire to see them in concert!
WHAT A PITY!
I don't blame the band..I blame Mick..and he'd better apoplogize quickly and ban his album!
and this is from Peter, their biggest FAN!
Sincerely,
Peter Shure
