LOL, nice try, the difference in innings is just 9%.
For Clemens to reach Carpenter's current ERA at 171 innings, he'd have to give up 19 runs in his next 15 innings, (an 11.4 ERA). So far he's given up just 24 in 156, vs. Carpenter's 43 in 171.
But we shall see...
Ouch!!!..FYI..I was born and raised in the Bronx...about 3 miles from Yankee Stadium..and was a huge Yankee fan until the early 60's..I cut my teeth watching Mantle, Maris, Berra, Ford,...and the old Yankees stadium was a great place for a kid to go watch a game.. After CBS bought the team, they absolutely ruined it..they dumped everyone/everybody..and when the Mets started up, I switched allegiances..and Yankee fans are obnoxious, and front-runners..last winter, after Giambi's problems surfaced...they were all calling up the sports shows wanting to know why they couldn't trade for Pujols..they want an All-Star at every position..Steinbrenner has irrevokable changed the rules of the games..in my book, he's ruined it..
But as I offered, if you object to my mild rants each week..and I do a pretty good job otherwise...and I don't hide my biases..you can do it next week, if you wish..regards.
