Authorities say the cats seemed to be OK and had enough food and water.
So if the cats were well treated and well fed and watered, what exactly was the reson for taking the cats and hauling the lady off?

zoning laws usually prohibit 100 cats or stuff like having a pet cougar and such.

Thats kinda what I'm wondering. If I can keep a thousand head of cattle, can't I keep 100 head of cats?

Probably few if any of them were spayed/neutered, and the 100 figure was just a momentary blip in a rapidly rising population. 100 unfixed cats in a home together, ESPECIALLY when well-fed, will easily be 1000 cats within a year. A year ago she probably had fewer than 10. Nothing wrong with heading off a guaranteed disaster before it happens.
