I was just wondering what the name of the highest mountain in New Zealand was, and I looked. In retrospect, I should have been able to guess.
I would be unsurprised if Mount Cook is in the background sometime during the "Lord of the Rings" movie trilogy, even though they filmed the snow trek scenes on Ruapehu.
And since I discovered through the process another nice outdoor photography site (link in header), below is a picture of a place I saw once, Porcupine Falls in the Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming (my family was driving to Yellowstone NP).
in before the ping
By the way, with this posting I'm going to end my practice of posting a "Link Post" on the News/Activism side of FR. It's been slapped down by the administrators as a duplicate post too many times. So, if you like the pictures, tell your friends who aren't on the ping list and invite them to send a message to me to join.
I sincerely hope you don't quit w/ GOW - I really look forward to it and my grandkids love to see the stuff you post!
Keep up the good work - everybody needs education.

I'm not going to quit, I'm just going to stop posting an "attention-getting" post on the News/Activism side. Are yoiu on the ping list?
If you can, put me on the list. I like these sorta things.
You're both on the ping list now.
thanks
