They could have put the fire out by sticking the nozzle between the windshield and hood...

And SHOULD have! Not a very good technique to show on TV.

Looks like I missed a heck of a race. Oh well; I got to kibbitz with a few Badger bloggers, have the obligatory cream puff, down a few good microbrews, and all that good stuff.

DAMN IT! I took the wrong "A" driver. Looks like the Puddle of Cheddar Goo is boiling now (and no, that's not a good thing)

Another one's in the books. Fun race... thanks for the thread, Norm. See all y'all at Watkins Glen (unless by then it's renamed Energizer Bunny International Road Course Raceway or some such). Have a great week.

I benched Smoke for KK which cost me about 12 points (if Smoke was the laps leader). The upside is I still have Smoke for 6 more races.

How did they go about putting the fire out. I missed that part. I heard they took him to the hospital.

Is anyone staying up late/getting up early to watch the shuttle re-entry?

It's coming in from a different angle this time over Nicaragua, then Cuba.

Smoke was the laps leader. I lost a heap of points by trying Flash one more time.

Yeah...I was pre-occupied, tho, sorry 'bout that...working on the details for our TRIP to RICHMOND Intl Raceway in Sept.

WE have mapped out our route, the menu is done and tix are due any day now...the only thing that worries me is that the 24 team has to make up 87 points to get into the CHASE!! Unnnngghhh...it'll NOT be a good trip if I have to sit through that race and Jeff doesn't even have a chance...moreso if he MUST win or Top 5 it to get in...he cannot wait for the last race to make it in!

He'll do well at Watkins, Sonoma maybe, Bristol??? Who knows and Michigan...he could win that one...

Y'all have a FINE WEEK!! Hugs to all!

G

Yes it is, though it's not recommended to consume the two products together.

Just putting my finishing touches on the Larry Mac Memorial Color Charts, Brickyard edition.

Larry Mac Memorial Color Charts, Brickyard edition -

Driver Points Behind Comments
Tony Stewart 2923 N/A I learned a hard lesson this weekend; don't bet against Spiderman Jr.
Jimmie Johnson 2848 -75 He's limping, but with the field evened out after Richmond, maybe that's a good thing.
Greg Biffle 2812 -111 What I said last race ("He's solidly in the Chase.")
Rusty Wallace 2705 -218 Wreck in qualifying; no problem. Just pull out the backup and do just enough to make the Chase.
Kurt Busch 2646 -277 Just biding his time until the Rubberhead Memorial Chase begins.
Mark Martin 2636 -287 Looks like he'll be back in 2006, but please don't tell his right foot that.
Ryan Newman 2568 -355 This business of making horrid runs on Sunday needs to stop if he's to be considered a threat.
Jeremy Mayfield 2554 -369 He's bound and determined to be a Chase field-filler.
Dale Jarrett 2493 -430 3 old guys in the chase, with Jr and Flash nowhere to be found? Say it ain't so.
Carl Edwards 2487 -436 Wrecked primary? Horrid qualifying time? Not reasons to lose the smile.
Jamie McMurray 2475 -12 (to 10th) There's going to be some excitement at Richmond after all.
Elliot Sadler 2463 -24 Melts on the track, not in your hand.
Kevin Harvick 2405 -82 Happy to 10th - "You're so far away from me. You're so far, I just can't see."
Jeff Gordon 2400 -87 The luck is starting to change.
Matt Kenseth 2319 -168 Curse you, Pocono.
Dale Earnhardt Jr 2296 -191 Curse you, flat tracks and road courses.

JJ was interviewed right after he got out of the car. He said "I don't remember anything after hitting the wall and until my crew removing me from the car." He drove all the way from the accident to the pit.

Not good.

Held myself to 3 (had to drive back). Downed a pair of Berghoff Famous Red Ales, then switched to a New Glarus Spotted Cow while I ate a venison burger (with cheese, of course).
