I just spent my lunch hour at the grocery store. I was so ticked off by the time I left, I had sweat rolling down my face.
First of all, (and I'm not knocking stay at home mom's) but is the noon hour the ONLY hour in the day that they can schedule hauling their screaming bawling children to the grocery store???? I mean come on... those of us who work 50 hours a week use our lunch hour to get things done, not to tango in the isle trying to get around a passle of "play group" kids on a field trip!
To top it all of... after my $260 worth of groceries, there was no one left to sack them for all the "mommy groups" so I sacked them myself and had to carry them out myself, all so I can get back to work and fume over it.
I think there should be a law against people who don't work to stay out of the grocery store from 11am to 1pm during the week and let us workers have the opportunity to get our stuff done.
Anyway, done venting... like I said I have nothing against stay at home moms as long as they stay at home during the lunch time hours.
Perhaps you should have voiced your complaints to the parent responsible for the chaos and not us poor innocent freepers.
Heads up. Looks like you got competition in the inane vanity department.
All the best,
Sam's Army
Maybe if Harry loaded the groceries in his pony cart the cosmic balance would be restored.
I think there should be stores with an iron cage at the front where the packs of wild children can be housed while the adults are shopping. I would pay a premium to go to such a store.
"us workers" - well golly gee - please allow me rip the bon-bons away from the moms and slap them into reality for you
There outta be a law...
I think retired drivers should stay off my roads on my lunch hour.
At least the Mommys are often good to look at and you know they are willing to do that which makes babies.
I want a pony.
No, a Vespa.
No, a pony. Yeah, a pony.
Get over yourself.
if you want to have the grocery store to yourself, do what any other self-involved celebrity does - pay the management extra to close the store to the public so you can shop privately.
Any mom that stays at home and actually raises her kids can shop whenever she damn well pleases.
I am waiting for all of the mommy crew to come in and start the fireworks.
I've seen what this rant is about, and yes, it's a peeve of mine as well. Not so much the mommy groups, but the children that run around the stores like a pack of wild dogs. All I ask is that moms keep their kids under control. I never thought a trip to the grocery story would turn into kid-style bumper pool or some sort of kiddie obstacle course.
I think TheOtherHarry uses the 7-11 for his one-stop shopping. They have everything a single guy needs, from burritos & beer to toilet paper. I'd bet he does it shirtless.
Perhaps we should ping the FREEPER FAMILY TABLE thread. :)
Yep. We need more of these moms IMHO.
I'll try, despite having the wrong plumbing!
Hmm.. leessee...
*chuckle*
