Do you think it might need a daily reminder ping?
When the liberals find something they don't like there is always a favorable judge to be found.
When the cost of Washington Public Power Supply System projects got to be too much, the contracts with those bond holders that lent the money were declared invalid by the State Supreme Court. Some investment bankers at the time said that they will never do business in the banana Republic of Washington again, where judges to the State's Supreme Court are elected officials.
You may have been watching how Snohomish County PUD is trying to break its Enron Contract. This one has maybe more merit as Enron did some criminal things to "con" the PUD.
Did you note how the judge tossed out the challenge to the overused emergency declaration to designed to prevent a public referendum on tax increases?
This was based on the earlier court case that allowed for a new vote when the politicians got the wrong result on a public sport stadium.
The major weakness I see in our voting in this state is the ability to hold liberal judges accountable at the next election. The powers that be refuse to have judges run on their "record" of decisions.
One of the biggest voids, I see is a website or something that records headline, bone-head, judicial decisions by judge ; so that when election time roles around, the voters can figure out which Superior Court and Supreme Court Judges to boot out of office.
Like the new digs:)
Several people are coming togather determined to see REAL election reforms in the next legislative session. If you are interested in being a part of this, please e-mail me at hanna@televar.com

Critical Areas Ordinance Update
Wednesday, August 10, 2005 710pm
Norm Dicks Government Center (New City Hall)
345 6th Street
Bremerton, WA
At long last Kitsap County has decided to inform the public of the revisions they have proposed for the update of the Critical Areas Ordinance that was released May 17, 2005. This is definitely the largest government land grab in Washington State history.
If these revisions are adopted by the County Commissioners
Not only will it gravely affect the use and enjoyment of your property
But it assuredly will increase your property taxes as these policies are implemented.
Included in this document:
Bigger larger buffers and setbacks with no justification or explanation;
Inclusion of undefined wildlife habitat critical areas;
Major expansion of the critical aquifer recharge area definition;
No citation or inclusion of scientific justification for any regulations;
Increased requirements for technical studies and reports ($$$) by the applicant;
Virtually unlimited right of entry and inspection of private property;
People identified as human disturbance and our pets as pet disturbance.
The proposed ordinance can be found at www.kitsap.gov. Click on Critical Areas Ordinance Workshop which will direct you to the CAO website. Take some time and read through this document. Bring your questions to the workshop. County staff has made a commitment to the public to thoroughly explain these proposed changes and answer written questions at the workshop. Material will be available there for you to write down your questions.
In the event you cannot attend the meeting the county has provided a form online inviting you to submit two questions. You may submit multiple forms if you have more than two questions. Or you may submit your questions without a form directly to cao@co.kitsap.wa.us. Or send a letter to the Board of County Commissioners, 614 Division Street, Port Orchard, WA 98366. Whether Email or regular mail make sure you instruct the county to include your comments in the record and submit them for answers at the scheduled workshop. Public Hearings will be scheduled later.
YOUR PRESENCE AT THE MEETING IS CRITICAL
Every property owner in the county will be affected
If you arent there to protect your interest in your private property -
Dont expect somebody else to do it for you.
Parking is limited - Seating is Limited
(A $10 parking ticket is worth the price!)
QUESTIONS? - Call the Board of County Commissioners 360-337-7146

All: Re-post for "ruralmajority" from the WA message board:
Dear All:
"The Rural Majority" has arrived on the scene and will be posting from time to time on land use and political issues. Baynative has seen fit to post some of my writings before, that he thought were appropriate issues for the group. He posted a couple or more on our psuedo "friend" Reagan Dunn. Look forward to meeting and talking with some or more of you in the near future.
Take care and keep fighting, because you are right.

Yes, we do need to be pinged to this site daily or every couple days. I can never find this new site again when I look for it. When I do find it, it's usually by acident. Anybody got any good way of finding it?
The only way I have is to dig (deep) into my ping history. I think maybe I will try a daily reminder ping. I know other ongoing threads require the occasional reminder.
One way is to just make a "favorite" out of it in IE or whatever browser you're using. Even if it occasionally grows fast and we start a new one, its easy to make a new favorite and delete the old one.
Thanks for the ping :-) Do we have any updates on the next Puget Sound Freeper meet?
No we don't.
