My gaming roots go back to the Avalon Hill/SPI paper games of yore. Wow someone else showin' their age. The civil war series and fulda gap were my favorites. Avalon did not hold my interest as well.
Some of the later AH titles were better than the stuff they put out in SPI's heyday. I bought the Decision Games edition of the Civil War battles, good stuff.
