I also had a fantasy of being there, jumping out of my car, running toward the guy from below, waving a gun at him, and shouting "get the bleep off the bridge, or I'm going to shoot you, and when you fall down here I'm going to cut you slowly and painfully until you don't recognise yourself."

Seriously, you're worse off then the jumper.

I always click the I have already previewed button.

And I actually thought I was being nicer than the people who just yell out "jump".

My favorite scene from Lethal Weapon was when Riggs handcuffed himself to the jumper, then looked at him and brow-beat him about being too scared to jump, and then pulled him off the building.

And somehow in that case they had a big balloon blown up for him to fall into. If life were like the movies, we could have put one of those big balloons under the bridge and been done with it.

Oh, if anybody took my posts in this thread seriously, I seriously apologize for the imagery I have put in your heads, and the evil thoughts I have provoked. I was a bad, bad boy. This is why my wife rarely leaves me alone.....

I don't see how you can have any sympathy for this person. This person created a situation that provided major headaches for thousands of commuters and travelers, because with him/her, it's all about ME, ME, ME! The only way I could excuse this person's actions is if he is schizophrenic and a voice told him to jump from that particular bridge. Perhaps 24 hours in lockup will put things into perspective for him.
