Pickups are always relieved when an SUV does it. It takes the heat of the spotlight off of them.

Mr. Borin will no doubt be bringing kidnapping charges against the evil perpetrator.

Four mentions of the type of vehicle before mentioning the drivers name. Typical.

The SUV driver, Jeffrey M. Borrin, 25, was headed southbound on Route 309 when his vehicle crashed into the northbound motorcycles, Feissner said. Borrin was uninjured. Another victim of SUV taking over the driving. When will people learn the real dangers of SUV's. They drive themselves and cause accidents. Geez, after 1000's of stories you would think people would realize what is going on here.

I'm glad that the AP is here to keep us abreast of the "evil SUV" news. What a joke of a company.

Four mentions of the type of vehicle before mentioning the drivers name. Typical. And apparently the Driver was not even driving, he was just headed southbound. The Driver was an innocent victim according to the article.
To: SmithL
Oh, I don't know about claims of bias for mentioning the SUV here. I think the point is the contrast in the sizes of the vehicles.

God be with the families that were killed and injured....while they were doing a good deed for someone else, the driver of the SUV couldn't pay attention to what he was doing...God be with you all...

Whadda ya wanna bet that the SUV driver was on a cell phone...
Every time I've nearly gotten mowed over when on my motorcycle it's been by someone yammering into their phone and not paying attention...

The aftermath . . .
From
another article:
-snip-
Other bikers on the ride didn't want to talk publicly about the incident. But they did say more than 100 motorcycles were riding to raise money for a cancer victim. They had a sheriff's escort.
"My impression is it was so long, and it happened in the rear portion of the ride. So he didn't, he didn't see it," said William Feissner of the Butler Township Police.
