I just found out from jriemer, our threadmeister frolm seasons past, that the Amazing Race is being show in it's entirity from season 1 to the present every night at 9PM EST on the Game Show Network (GSN). Episodes are being run back-to-back until they lead into the start of the newest season.
Click on Game Show Network above for (hopefully) live link or cut and paste:

Even though I knew the outcome it was still exciting. That was first season (ALASKA!!!) and that is how it should have been run throughout the next 6 seasons.
The third place team was 24+ hours behind the winners, they must not have bunched them up like they do now.
I love it...bring on Season 9 (family season 8 is going to suck, I feel it in my bones)
WOW....I never knew this channel existed! lol....Thanx, Dane....I now got my vcr set for all week (cept TV guide doesn't indicate they will show it on Friday)
I may have to buy more vcrs.....one is set all week on GSN for TAR...the other on OLN for Survivor. LOL.
I agree that first one was darn good, and wish they would just let em fall behind if they fall behind...nature of a race! Course, I WAS glad it was the Guido's that were back there. hehehe.
Alaska was beautiful....but toooo cold fer me! lol
GASP!!!! (clutching heart, reeling)
Get a DVR instead. 30, 60, or 120 hours of recording (depending on how much you want to spend) Can also record on one channel, watch another or record 2 channels at the same time. Again, dependingon how much you want to spend.
If you move to Dish Network, you can get a receiver/DVR combo (not to be confused with TiVo, which you have to pay extra for)
thank you all for your efforts on the TAR threads. I love the show, but I doubt I'll catch after-season reruns.
Family TAR? That ought to be interesting. Imagine Jonathan (He was the wife beating bastard who should be shot)and Victoria (former Playoy model) with a pair of bratty kids?Unnngh!
>>they must not have bunched them up like they do now.<<
It's televised mini-socialism - everything has to be "fair", you know.
Another difference I noticed is that the first few seasons' challenges relied on the skill/fortitude of the teams - latter seasons seem to rely more on the "luck" of cab rides and people who understand English.
Good to see last season that more people had wised up to the idea that they might...just MIGHT...want to brush up on conversational Spanish & French if they're to be racing around the freakin' world.
Oh man--I can still hear that blue haired sleaze screaming:
"VIC-TOR-IAHHHHH!"
First season wrapped up Saturday night and last night was first eppy from Season Two, complete with TaraWeasel (I thought the Guidos were bad until these two jerks showed up!).
My still favorite moment from Season One - SWING YOU FAT BASTARD! SWING!!!
I'll skip Season 5's repeats until Jonathug's elimination. I can't watch that creep a second time (although it will be worth watching just for the fabulous Gus and Hera and the beer hall).
Fascinating. I wondered why the heck TAR 7 went to dull Cuzco Peru and did not go to sensational Machu Pichu, right down the road. Could be a simiilar glitch?
EmilyGeiger, looks like TAR is using locations in America....as I recall you and several others were hoping for an all-America race.
Right. God forbid that the best man should ever win. Makes the race boring and predictable, but still I'll watch, hoping for great location shots. Maybe I'll just turn the sound down.
Isn't anyone hosting the new Amazing Race??
