I just found out from jriemer, our threadmeister frolm seasons past, that the Amazing Race is being show in it's entirity from season 1 to the present every night at 9PM EST on the Game Show Network (GSN). Episodes are being run back-to-back until they lead into the start of the newest season.
Click on Game Show Network above for (hopefully) live link or cut and paste:

The Amazing Race (TAR) for those who have not watched, is an around-the-world race run by teams of two. Fun and amazing contests are held along the way in what amounts to a sort of uber treasure hunt, with the winning team collecting a cool mil. Even if you don't care who wins, it's still a really interesting travelogue. Good family fun. Enjoy!
TAR fans, silent jonny volunteered to take over the Amazing Race thread for the next new season, coming in the fall. Please join me in applause.
I'm not sure that the summer season merits an ongoing thread -- you think? Keep this one going if you wish.
I won't be able to join the Freeper TAR fun this summer, if indeed there is any, as I'm cable deprived and also tearing up my haus 24/7 preparing for my own new season in a new career.
We'll miss you Veto! silent jonny has big shoes to fill.
Now I have to find GSN on Dish Network and program the DVR...woohoo! I'd love to see the first 5 seasons.
hattend! of course you're the first to respond on this thread. Thanks for the kind words. I look forward to exchanging witticisms with you again come the autumn TAR season. Meanwhile, enjoy the reruns!
Veto!
I just saw an ad on TV yesterday where they are looking for people for the next show!!!
Hi WCG: I'd love to see a Freeper team on TAR. I'm a non-athlete so won't apply, but how about you?
Application forms are available at cbs.com. I think you need to click on Amazing Race and then download the forms.
Bon voyage!
Maybe thay can double the existing number of viewers who have seen this turkey...
To 32?
thanks for stopping by, sweetie. The ping list is over 100, all by request. Constitutional law threads should be so popular. Maybe you can figure out a way to make that happen.
Have fun Veto! I'v ebeen watching the re-runs on GSN (I always wondered why they never put it on the Travel Channel? Seems perfect to me.)
Looking forward to the fall season - Family Teams of 4, if I remember correctly.
Think CBS's worship of all things Politically Correct will cause them to have a "gay family"? (If such a thing is possible?) They always seem to work in their own social engineering commentary in the way they stack their shows...
Ping...
The first season of Survivor is going to be on OLN starting tomorrow. Survivor went down hill since.
Of course! A gay family! With a transgendered teenager! And a bisexual dad! Carrying a supply of KerryEdwards bumper stickers to slap on the butt of every rickshaw driver that drags them around.
Even without such abberations, I don't think I'll particularly enjoy family travel-racing. Been there, done that, got through it, Phew! Enough, already.
Right, Survivor began to suck early on. TAR kept improving, imo, but threatens to go downhill fast with (probably) screaming kids this coming season. I may watch with the sound turned off, just for the travelogue aspects.
I watched TAR from the very beginning and would watch reruns happily if I had cable. I never cared who won, but thoroughly enjoyed the trips--even interior shots of airports turn me on. LOL.
Wait!! what is OLN??? I was hoping GSN would do the survivor series. I'm loving the TAR on GSN. Guess I shoulda pinged ya, veto!
OLN(Outdoors and Life Network) is a cable channel focusing mostly on outdoor sports.
The first season of Survivor starts tonight.
Watch out, veto!
Is this a good time to mention that Rob and Brennan won the first season?

Thanks for ruining it for me.
