This Day In History - DASHING DASHER JOINS FREEREPUBLIC (vanity)
Seattle Pissant Times | 7/22/05 | Sir Pissant

Posted on 07/22/2005 7:33:14 AM PDT by pissant

On this day in 1933, Wiley Post touched down his airplane in New York, becoming the first pilot to fly solo around the globe!

On this day in 1934, Public Enemy #1, John Dillinger, was gunned down in the streets of Chicago.

And on this day in 2004, the one and only Dashing Dasher, after slamming down 4 martinis, signed up on FreeRepublic.

These historic events have much in common. Wiley Post was a brave pilot, risking life and limb in a rickety single engine plane. Dasher is FR's resident pilot racer, tormenting her male colleagues above the western fruited plains. A Calamity Jane in goggles!

And Dillinger was a notorious gang leader, surrounding himself with violent criminals and ne'er do wells. Dasher too has become a gang leader on FR. She has lead JimRob's beloved website into dark places that make the upstanding citizens here hide the women and children.

She is many other things as well, too numerous to list in full. But they include: Conservative infiltrator in liberal San Fran, Toughie NJ bodyguard for those who get harrassed, Unofficial FR Dominatrix (with a growing clientele), and most importantly, the subject of poems and limericks from her adoring fans.

So on this Friday, July 22, 2005, let's raise our glasses and offer a hearty toast to this east coast bred California girl, and thank her for settling down in our corner of the world!

And look - he/she/it is swapping spit with another "girl".

Swap spit with girls? Not nearly as often as I would like. But then, I am sort of a geek, rocket-scientist type.

LOL

Actually that post was directed to your comment about me thinking that Dasher was a girl.

Hmmm...I thought you were a married geek rocket-scientist type.

I'm guessing that Mrs. Geek Rocket-Scientist probably prefers you to swap spit with a limited number of women. ;-)

You really want her number? Maybe I will send it to you.

That would be darn funny.

After I leave town tomorrow - I really don't want to spend the night on the boat.

Well, actually - maybe I do. LOL.

Yeah. I can see it now...

"Hello, Mrs. Patton?"

"Yes?"

"You don't know me, but your husband told me that I should call you to ask if you mind if he swaps spit with other women."

Somehow, I don't think she'd respond positively to that phone call. ;-)

I live in anticipation of that phone call.

It will make my day.

Just let me be a few states over, if you please.

I beg your pardon?

You think wives never stepped out? You think we should ignore it?

How about we have some girl call her and say your hubby is swapping spit with some dude (Dash - lol) on the internet.

BTW, I think I am in love with Dash.
