Last night, many of us read the thread wherein Petronski announced his coming marriage to madame Cyborg. (Check DRUDGE: Unnamed Senior White House source: Cyborg and Petronski to be married...). During the course of the Cyborg-Petronski Thread, the subject of a Free Republic feature wherein single Freepers can meet their fellow conservatives.
I have a simple proposition. We could start a regular thread akin to the Freeper Canteen. Such a regular thread could serve as an opportunity for single Freepers to engage in Virtual Mingling. Also, any Freepers who have single, conservative offspring would be welcome to participate so as to arrange for introductions for their kids.
Special note to Jim: Just think of how many conservative would not have met fellow right-minded folks had it not been for FR! Cyborg and Petronski owe you one.

Me too.
:)
I need to come up with one of those type of personal ads that you might come across in the New York Review of Books.
Talk about embellishment!

I haven't seen any of the ads from there.

They're very amusing, if slightly misleading.
The New York Times "Week in Review" did this hilarious comparison of the personals that were placed there, versus the ones that the much more honest, forthright Brits placed.
Very, very funny to note the differences in culture.

She wouldn't let me drive, and got majorly offended when I came around to open the door for her. I opened the door for her at the restaurant, and she refused to go in. She literally stopped, gave me a dirty look, and then opened the door for me after I closed it. Oh, YUCK! Those people are so silly.
I like being treated like a lady when I'm on a date. I've had a couple of guys act somewhat hesitant about the door opening thing in the past - they'll start to do it and then look sort of questioning. I always recognize that as someone who's had exposure to a FemiNazi and I instantly assure them that I don't have those hang-ups and that I'm kind of old-fashioned when it comes to that sort of thing.

I like being treated like a lady when I'm on a date. I don't see how any lady wouldn't, but they're certainly out there. Isn't it a shame that a guy has to feel the need to "get approval" before being a gentleman?

Sweet dreams.

Isn't it a shame that a guy has to feel the need to "get approval" before being a gentleman? Absolutely. Liberals. Those FemiNazis probably don't shave their legs or pits either.
I avoid those "New Age" types like the plague. I've gotten kind of picky. In fact, any guy I date has to like red meat. LOL

I love the list on your FReeper page. I remember someone reading it on the radio before (Most likely Rush since he's all I ever listen to).

Figures.
I'm stuck at work on the graveyard shift. But when I get home tomorrow morning, I'm firing up the grill and deep fryer for some cheeseburgers and homemade fries with garlic salt on all!
Gotta remember to get some burger buns on the way home, though.

I'm looking forward to R&R next month when I can eat some real food.
