So, who saw it coming??! I was close. I thought that the HBP would be Snape's
child.
What do we know about the professors, really?

I had no idea that the HBP was Snape. That one surprised me.

I saw it coming, because of where the book came from. Snape wouldn't permit anything of the sort to exist in the class supplies unless it was his. Plus it goes with the theme that the folks that hate mudbloods the most are always impure wizards.
Well, that, and a lucky guess. :)

I finished the book yesterday, but started rereading
it today. I will read slower this time and not rush
through as I am on the lookout for clues as to WHO
IS "R.A.B.!"
I really didn't understand chapter two with that
long dialogue between Snape, Narcissa (Lucius' wife)
her sister until the second time around! Now, it makes
sense. But with all those references throughout the
novel to the magic polyjuice, I really expected someone
other than Snape to be assuming his "shape" in those
last chapters.
I have to admit, I had more than a few tears well up
during those final chapters. I just was not prepared
for that ending!
Then there is the question of the withered/blackened hand.
Thought for a while there I was rereading a Nathaniel Hawthorne novel...he always used the HAND in his stories
as a symbol of some terrible secret being withheld by a character.
More later.

I saw it coming once Harry got ahold of the potions book. As much as people were telling me that 'it had to happen', I'm ticked at what happened at the very end.
