As to Harry being a horcrux (his scar) I was reading on another board where they listed the 7;
Ring - destroyed
diary - destroyed
locket
cup
snake
something of Ravenclaw's
V himself
That makes 7 without Harry.
As to his parents not being dead, the protection Harry has had for the last 15 years he's had because him mother loved him enough to die for him. That protection wouldn't be in effect if she were alive.
Does anyone think that Harry's Aunt may be a squib and that's why she knows so much about the wizarding world?
him=his
Yes. It would certainly explain her raging jealousy toward Lily.
Yeah, but we are all speculating. And, I find it strange the Rowling would go to the lengths to let us believe the carriages were horseless then reveal that they aren't. Going so far as to create an animal that can only be seen by someone who has seen a person be snuffed out. Then have Harry freak out so badly when he finally sees them in OOTP after Cedric's death. I mean we can all put IMO at the end of all of these posts...
At this point I would hope they weren't alive. Only because of how much Harry had to suffer because of his aunt and uncle. If his parents are alive, I am sure he will be really mad about that part -- although he would be happy that they are alive.
I thought Petunia was a squib, but it was mentioned that Lily is indeed muggle-born so Petunia is just a muggle.
Yup. That was pretty obvious from the way she reacted after the dementor attack in OOTP. No way she could have known about Azkaban or dementors if she wasn't.
It would also explain her intense dislike for anything magical. Understandable in it's own way.
