I'll never forget watching the 1986 Masters with my dad. It's still one of the greatest sports moments in my mind ever.

Thanks for the memories Jack.

I've never seen Tom Watson get that emotional before on the course!

Two class guys. Watson's first round 65 in the 2003 U.S. Open is another moment for the ages. And Jack, well, he IS the greatest. Period. Following him for the weekend at last year's Memorial was a great experience to watch.
I cannot wait to get home and watch the tape of this.

A great pic.

Thanks for the great photos. My Dad used to take me to the tournaments when Nicklaus was at the top of his game; Arnie had his army; Lee Travino, and Chi Chi Rodriguez kept the crowds laughing...those were some wonderful times.

I'm getting all wispy just looking at the pictures on the wire. It's hard to believe we will never see him at the Masters again in early April.

Great pics. There's something about someone getting a standing ovation that brings tears to my eyes.
So when you retire from golf, do you take up accounting?? :-)

Jack is simply the best that will ever be.
...He was the most dominate athlete of the 20th Century. No one did, or will ever do what he did. He was that good.
On top of that, he has been a model father and citizen (other than his tendancy to under-tip at local restaurants). He used to fly home between rounds of major championships to watch his kids play HS football or Volleyball. He basically founded a private school here that is the benchmark for the area. The Benjamin School attracts the best and the brightest in both students and educators. They make the local public schools look silly.
I'm sorry to see him go because deep inside me (and I'm sure inside him), I know that HE knows he could still make the cut at places like St. Andrews or Augusta.
Oh, and his wife deserves as much credit as he. Barbara has seen it all, done it all, and it's always been first class. She is absolutely a great person (and I don't say that about too many people!)
Thanks Jack. Thanks Barbara.
