Yeah - we decided to go!
It's going to be a pretty long ride.... the lady that invited us isn't sure but potentially 12 miles - she measures rides in hours not miles, kindof like you do, so we have to try to figure conversions in our heads. She said 3.5 hours.
I just hope Bay feels good today, I've done all I can to help prep him to feel good. He was in last night and I hope is rested. I think I'm gonna give him a dose of Bute just in case. I've got a very soft fuzzy cover to try on the cinch, along with leaving it further back, but his earlier rub is healed to new skin.
I'll know from his reaction to being there with other horses, and his behavior down the first miles of trail if he feels good. If he doesn't, I'll turn him around and it'll be time to call the vet and talk about whether it's time for more steps.
Sounds like a plan.
