The body of a man being transported to Shreveport, Louisiana fell from the back of a hearse and onto a busy Dallas freeway Tuesday. Dallas television station KTVT obtained photographs from the scene showing a gurney on its side and the man's body partially uncovered. A police report from the Dallas Police Department indicates someone called police saying they had just spotted a body on a gurney with a blanket over it lying in the middle of State Highway 175.
The investigating officer says he was met at the scene by two witnesses who saw the gurney fall onto the freeway. The officer says the man an SUV-style hearse stated the back door to his vehicle came open and the man's body fell out of the back. When he realized what had happened, the man returned to the scene to retrieve the body. Authorities say the body was being transported to a Shreveport funeral home after the man died Monday at a hospital in Mesquite, Texas.
I smell the same thing...but the body didn't care.
"Here lies the body of Solomon Pease.
The Pease aren't here--
Only the pod.
The Pease shelled out,
And went home to God."
Or the driver is seald off from reality!
Let's hope that's true and it's not just a case of the driving being really, really nonobservant.
He didn't expect to hear from his passenger.
Maybe the suspension on the SUV was too stiff.
They fogged this body? Do they do this with war dead too?
Turnip truck?!!!
Dead guy was probably an environmental wacko who sabotaged SUVs at car lots.
This probably isn't the time or place...but I guess I don't care!
Years ago, my sister was a passenger in a car treveling from LA to the San Joaquin Valley--across the Grape Vine--following a truck which was carrying a family packed into the bed of the truck. The mother (apparently, the mother) stood up to move and blew out the back of the truck. She was wearing purple.
Bwahahahahahaha
Most important.
Here's a story: My cousin Wil was driving his van home from a juke joint (drunk) with a blonde passed out in the passenger seat and leaning against the passenger door. Wil swerved, the passenger door opened, and the blonde fell out. Wil was so drunk he never noticed.
Poor girl was left on a country road in the middle of nowhere somewhere between Podunk and Kneedeep, GA.
fogged?
I thought I erased that part!! I was going to go further and changed my mind!
Note to self: PROOFREAD.
purple - the color of royalty.
I think it added a lot of color to the story. I wouldn't change a thing!
THAT one's FUNNY!
