I got some way cool flush cut saws for SSQ today in the 'Tokyu Hands' department store. I'd asked him what kind of souvenir he wanted from Japan, and that's what he asked for! These are made very well, and are in the old style, bamboo handle and vey thin flexible double flush cut blades. He's going to be cutting lots of door frames when we install the wood floors, so they'll come in handy.
Those are 'vey' cool saws; a few bowyers use them, though they admit adjusting to 'pull' instead of 'push'. The saws make an excellent cut, very smooth to use without the tear out that usually accompanies the standard 12 point hand saw. I believe they are also shown in the Garret-Wade catalog.
