Hey, Matthew asked me the other day (when we were re-organizing the support group) why I didn't lead the group. I told him the truth...that I don't have enough self-confidence, that a leader needs to be decisive and I'm constantly doubting myself. He said "I could be a leader." I said I knew he could.
Then he said "I wanna be a dictator." then roared with laughter!

Actually, and this is in all seriesness, Christopher, Celeste's son, says he's going to run for president. I assure you, the child could do it. He does everything he sets his mind to. Matthew says he's going to be his campaign manager!

So maintaining their friendship may have national significance in the future!

*sigh* Woke up this morning and had no creamer, and I don't care for coffee black except as a last resort. But having to go to the grocery BEFORE coffee is a horrible, horrible thing to have to do.
At least I found my way there and back, and coffee is brewed. ~sip~
It's just pouring out there!! Has been off and on for weeks! Normally we're dry as a bone this time of year, our grass is burned up because we can't keep up with the watering!
It's totally lush and green! Amazing!
The farmers are going to have a bumper crop this year!

Actually, it was not a legal issue. They had complete control of the checking account and could, legally, do whatever they wanted. It was in someone's private name. That's why they maintained it was just a name change.
It was underhanded, immoral and un-Christlike, but it wasn't illegal. They stole the money in our eyes, but not in the eyes of the law. We may have been able to go after them for *something*...I don't know what, though.

Well, I know the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I will be watching for dishonesty and deceit, you can be sure. I've not seen anything to that effect as far as the kids are concerned, but I'm watching.
Not yet. But thank goodness for Google maps! There's a mall < 1mi from my hotel! I'll head out of here in about two hours.
