He hasn't been home off and on for years in the evening. These last couple of years have been the worst. It's taken a toll that is fixable if he comes home soon.

Oh gosh, I'm shaking all over...

Matthew came up and said "Look at my tooth!" One of his back teeth that's been loose for a while was completely turned around in it's place! I swear, I nearly fainted...

He went in the bathroom and pulled it out. I'm just shaking and he thinks it's very funny.

OH NO!! He just came up to me...just now while I was typing this and said "I got the wrong tooth! I got the one next to it!" Sure enough, I just looked and the one that is completely turned around is still in there! LOL!! He's trying to get it out now.

All those teeth are loose back there. He just told me he's going to pull them all out right now so he can eat comfortably.

Heh.... Somehow I don't think this book is really gonna help kids that are afraid of loose teeth or the dentist.

I just fired off this email to a pool member who was complaining about the guards on Sunday. I already sent back a diplomatic response (okay with one snarky remark it it). She didn't think it was good enough, so I just sent this (and copied the entire Board)...

Again, thank you for your comments.

Since my initial response, I discussed the situation with the manager. We were particularly short staffed on Sunday, thus the revision of the hours and the lack of vaccuming. It was either that or not open at all.

My point about the guards, and your children, was that they DO need to be told things more than once. We know that. And we do that on a daily basis.

As for rumors of complaints to the Health Department I happen to know that in the past we've had them called in just for spite. That's another story.

With all due respect one of the reasons I'm leaving is that I'm tired of people who have been members for decades compaining and not being willing to pitch in to make a difference.

I'm glad you and your family have been around Shady Acres for 29 years. I'd just have to ask how many of those years were spent as a member of the Board?

Your opportunity to proactively make a difference begins on Labor Day.

Heh...Matthew is still working on that third loose tooth. He knows that I'm telling you about it and he said "I don't want to let your friends down."

He GOT IT! That's three teeth in just a few minutes!

He literally couldn't eat comfortably and was reduced to eating soft foods. he was having yogurt for breakfast. Now, even with no teeth in there, he can chew!
