I got 1.5GB on my new tablet, and before too long I'll probably wonder if it was enough.
Nite folks.
Have good one. :-)
Any sign of 2J back from the meeting?
Oh, man I am jubilant! Life is vey vey good. I tell you, I gave that speech and it just floored everyone! I got a round of applause and cheers! It was great and the vote was unanimous to maintain our normal night.
We found out today that the support group that split off from us considers themselves the original "old" support group and we are the new group! Excuuuuuuse me! What a lot of nerve! Oh well, what do we expect? If they admit that we are the original BA CHEF, they'd have to admit they ran off with BA CHEF's money!
Anyway, it turned out glorious...we had a crowd of about 30 women! Several are good friends of mine and one was my mom's neighbor...remember her? You probably don't but her husband will be teaching Matthew Latin this next year! I just hugged her neck, I can tell you!
It was great and one of the ladies came up to me afterward and said my speech was the clincher...I added at the end that we had been told by the former leadership that BA CHEF no longer existed. I said that if we changed our meeting to another night, then the old BA CHEF that always met on the 2nd Tuesday of every month would truly no longer exist.
I focused on the leadership when I thanked them for letting me speak. The point was taken that it was something the other group never did.
I'm shimmying in my soul! I lost my "membership coordinator" status...someone else wanted it and I wanted "Communications" more. They also asked me if I would head up an event where all the kids get together and work on cards to send to the troops. The old support group wouldn't let me do that again, after I accidently signed an atheist lesbian Army recruiter up as the speaker. (I didn't mean to...I just called the recruiting office and asked if they had a speaker and that is who they sent!)
When I left, ladies were still milling around talking. Lots of hugs and optimism. I feel better than I have in weeks.
I just now got in!!!
Man it was great!
That other support group had no inkling we'd ever do something like this!
We yanked a kink in their tail, I tell ya!

ROTFL!
It was great, Hair...we're on our way now! You know, starting out with 30 members isn't half bad!
Yeah - 30 is a lot. You ought to split that into two groups. ;~D
[snort] OK... from here on out... making me snort beer foam out through my nose is no longer acceptable. Nomatter how funny it seems at the time. :-)
I'm so thrilled.
We "compromised" by having an "event" ocassionally where "anyone" (meaning even those from the other group) could attend.
Yes, if a) you converted it to a WAV file before burning, or b) your burning software did that for you automatically. If you set the software to a music or audio CD format, it probably would have taken care of the conversion.
2) Is it possible to edit a midi (with software I don't have). It would be helpful to add a four count drum beat to the intro.
Yes. I don't really have any MIDI editing software either, but I do have some music notation software that can also open and save MIDI. I could try and edit it for you.
Yah know... there's a reason why Jesus only had 12 disciples. We just don't do well in large groups. Small groups are much more effective and useful, and generally free of politics.
Just a thought.
Yeah...a small group would be nice. We are tossing around the idea of actually limiting the number of people who can join. They did when I joined and Celeste and I barely made it in. The cut off was 72 ladies.
I'm thinking out of thirty, after the hubbub settles down, we'll probably have 15-20 show up. It's a big deal right now...things will settle back into routine.
Oh come on.... you can get some new tennies, and capri pants!
LOL!
I wore a dress to this meeting...a dress, I tell ya...I wanted to look like I meant bidness.
I'm wore out though, having worked myself up into a state all day. Think I'll have a cup of Tension Tamer tea.
Well... I have to go now.
Nite nite all... :-)
Good night!
Yeah - we've got South Park on now....
Good night.
