New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |

Still round the corner there may wait |

Home is behind, the world ahead, |
The hotel is technically in Grand Prairie.
Vey cute. I *love* puppies. Shame they have to grow up to be dogs.
You are vey close to my mother's. She is in Arlington. Arlington has 6-flags, and the Rangers. There are tons of great places to eat right off the highway.
Get a doggie door... they'll run out when they hear things.
Are you going to fence for them?
Other than going to baseball games and amusement parks, there is also a hugh shopping mall off I-20 at Cooper. There are many nice place there as well. I am biased towards north Arlington, since that is where I lived for 15 years.
Grand Pairie is sort of an in-between suburb for Dallas and Arlignton. Dallas has some pricey places. They aer vey nice, but if you're on a budget, I would recommend something else.
That said... Del Frisco's (one in Dallas, and one in Fort Worth) is the best and most expensive steak joint.
spelling typos...
note to self: must proofread...
Gee wiz, I'd love to get down there to see you!!
Hmmm... might have to break out the Tony Llamas. :)
Do you have an expense account you can pad? ;-)
I wish I had known about this trip a little further in advance. Then we could have planned a minimoot. I don't even have my final itinerary yet and I fly Mon. I *think* I'm arriving in the early afternoon and my meeting isn't until the next day.
Lights out tonight, trouble in the heartland.
Got a head-on collision, smashin in my guts man.
Im caught in a crossfire that I dont understand.
But theres one thing I know for sure girl:
I dont give a damn for the same old played out scenes
I dont give a damn for just the in-betweens.
Honey I want the heart, I want the soul, I want control right now.
You better listen to me baby:
Talk about a dream; try to make it real.
You wake up in the night with a fear so real.
You spend your life waiting for a moment that just dont come.
Well dont waste your time waiting
Badlands you gotta live it every day
Let the broken heart stand
As the price youve gotta pay
Well keep pushin till its understood
And these badlands start treating us good
Workin in the field till you get your back burned
Workin `neath the wheels till you get your facts learned.
Baby I got my facts learned real good right now.
You better get it straight darling:
Poor men wanna be rich, rich men wanna be kings,
And a king aint satisfied till he rules everything.
I wanna go out tonight, I wanna find out what I got.
Now I believe in the love that you gave me.
I believe in the faith that could save me.
I believe in the hope and I pray that some day it
Will raise me above these
Badlands...
For the ones who had a notion, a notion deep inside
That it aint no sin to be glad youre alive.
I wanna find one face that aint looking through me
I wanna find one place, I wanna spit in the face of these
Badlands...
Yay! Found the drink coupon book!
I never starve on travel, though.
ARGH!!
There's just no way I can get down there...I can't afford the rental car and sure can't afford the gas.
I coulda brought you some Swan's milk!! The G'nad's had it at ShootMoot.
"And I think to myself.... what a wonderful world."
Always nice on a Friday.
Rose and I are a couple hundred miles south of there, only been to D/FW a few times, so we don't know it very well.
I did accidently drive past the school book depository building one time...
Louis Armstrong's version of that is the only real one, IMO.
Oh yeah! Houston. Big "DUH" on me - lol! I guess I've reached that sad point in my life on the east coast that I've forgotton how big TX is. *sob*
Oh definitely!! It could happen??
