New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Morning...
I'm gonna use that as a tagline for a while.
Can I go back to bed?
two of the girls will be here for a "home visit" to see if we are an acceptable family...do I remove the animal pelts from our home first? :-)
We'll take pics and let you all know how it works out.

The Cuda that I got at ShootMoot.
Gack! Ow!
Awwwww! Cute!
Monsters! What kind of pups are those?
What are those puppies?? How cute!
Did you get all pullet chicks?
Hey, welcome home...too lazy to look back and find where the pics of your trip are...but if you could tell me, I'd love to see them.
We loved Okinawa. It was a great duity station!

I'm tellin' ya, it's a GREAT kitchen knife!! It is my all-time best knife I've ever owned in my kitchen. I keep it in my wooden butcher knife block.
Did I tell you about when Steve went to dispatch the first meat chicken? He hadn't really had an opportunity to use his knife and just had no idea how sharp it was.
Well, the directions said to make a cut from beneath the ear to under the beak.
So Steve took that chicken's head in his hand and went to make that cut and *sliced the chicken's head clean off*! He literally stumbled backward with the chicken head in his hand and nearly sat down hard. That knife sliced clean through that chicken neck like a hot knife through butter. Talk about humane...
Steve and I still talk about it...just the other day he said "It's a good thing I didn't have a finger in the way!"
They are very cute little (for now) monsters...if gnad thinks they will do well with the chickens, looks like we're getting puppies. The Anatolians are supposed to be good with animals and protective of what they "own". The only hitch is the gal bringing them wants them to be inside dogs...said we have to sign saying we'll do that. We want them out at night to keep the critters away (once they get older of course) but would love to have them down in our (non-carpeted) playroom during school and honestly, how could you ever keep our kids from constantly loving on them. It's the whole socialization thing again...only now it's dogs and not kids...
Mrsnad
Where will you be? D/FW is vey hugh!
I'm not sure who the father is, but mom is pretty bit...probably 80lbs anyway
mrsnad
now, we're off to find some bowls, food and other assorted dog items at MFA. BBL

I'd check for purple tongues!
I can only speak for myself, but anything with Chow in it isn't trustworthy with kids, IMHO.
If dad was a Shephard/Lab/Mutt, they should be terrific critters!
But man, they look like BIG TIME shedders!
