The Hobbit Hole XXIII - Let them go! Let them go!
Posted on 07/12/2005 8:11:36 PM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Let them go! Let them go!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Hedges of protection are not good for airplanes! Well if you really want to fly into a hedge...

I know they're going to have a great time, especially since Pope Benedict will be 'coming home' to the gathering.Yeah, that adds something! I sooo wish I could be there. Part of it is also because I lived there for as long as I did...and I'd love to go back for a visit!

[Second try...first post had a name in it]Oh, I hate to hear it, Hair...it hurts and I wouldn't wish it on anybody...well, maybe I'd wish it on a terrorist.
Here is what I sent out to the egroup...
Hello ladies!
First I want to say "Thank You" to [our new leaders] for stepping forward in the BA CHEF meeting last night to lead our group. I hope you will join me in lifting them up in prayer.
I wanted to let you all know a bit of information concerning this egroup. When the Yahoo BA_CHEF egroup was formed last year, the rule for being a member of it fell under Article VIII of the Broken Arrow CHEF Support Group Bylaws. That article states that "Roster, Newsletter, Phone Chain List and E-mail List are for the Broken Arrow CHEF members only." So when I formed the egroup last year, a file was set to go out to each member when they were approved that states:
"This is a PRIVATE group...no one can access it but BA CHEF members. Membership is moderator-approved and only BA CHEF members will be approved. This will make sure that your posts are safe and restricted to only BA CHEF members."
So I wanted to let you know that after the September BA CHEF Mom's Meeting, any member of the egroup that is not a member of BA CHEF will be removed if they haven't already unsubscribed. That will give anyone who is still trying to decide what to do another month.
Of course, any new members will be added and at any time anyone in the future joins BA CHEF, they will be added as well if they choose.
I want to reiterate that these rules were set up last year under the old leadership of BA CHEF and are still in application until such time that I hear otherwise from the new leadership. The only new thing I'm adding is the September Mom's Meeting deadline.
I will also be sending out the "Welcome" file again for your review.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at *****.
God bless,

It was 2J self-abusing again. She posted an email about her CHEF stuff, and forgot to take out some names.

I would think a hedge would be better than say, a cliff!

Depends on if the cliff is going ~up~ or ~down~.
Skyhooks would be better!

A cliff of protection? That's just silly.
