I made a guava-apple granita that turned out nice. Not a lot of 'sugar' - just what was in the juice.

I did get the ice cream "lite."

I was going to get some of those low carb ice cream bar but I didn't want to pay $2.50 for only six.....so I got the half-gallon for $4.00 instead.

Well....it's hot and you need something to cool ya down!

Our dog Jack has discovered a true love for cucumbers. He came bounding back into the house just now after his after-dinner-potty-run with a cucumber in his mouth. The knucklehead raided my garden! He was so happy and bouncy and slobbery and proud of his cucumber.

Back home the neighbor-dog liked to pick tomatoes. Unlike the squirrels she only picks one.

I tell them I don't NEED a degree in teaching to manage the education of my kids.

Absolutely. The best teachers are the ones with real life's experiences - and kids instinctively know which adults are the real deal and which ones are shamming around with a flimsy degree.
