The Hobbit Hole XXIII - Let them go! Let them go!
Posted on 07/12/2005 8:11:36 PM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Let them go! Let them go!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

They've been scared into affection for each other... you shoulda had them associate with the dinnerChickens, it'd have had the same effect ;-)

We've had five cats, two are still with us. Only Louise has drawn blood, the other two tolerated it well. The first and last ones, never had the need to bathe them.

We had a Tom cat that smelled bad. He is the only cat I've ever known that never cleaned himself. He was a dirty cat and he rolled in things with foul odors. ;~D
The other one we had to bathe had a flea allergy, and we tried Aveeno baths.

Heh heh!!
I'm waiting for the auction to close where I bid on it for Joshua's reader...closes in less than 10 minutes.
It's my policy to pay immediately whenever possible. So if I win the auction, and it's looking likely...I'll pay for it within seconds.
I just finished my cholesterol medicine and even though it's only four ounces, it has just wiped me out! I need to sleep! LOL

Congrats!
I just spent an hour and a half on the phone with my youngest brother. Good thing there aren't limits on minutes during the weekend.
*sigh*
I really, really miss them. I know it'll get easier once I have more of a life built up here, and I do like my parish and all, but right now, sometimes I'm really struggling with the fact that I can't just go back.

Oh, I'm sorry about that...I hope you get a job pretty quick, even a coffee shop one would be something to get you out into the world...
Well, since my auction is over and I'm half asleep from the "medicine"...I'm going to bed! I'll see you in the morning, eh?
