The Hobbit Hole XXIII - Let them go! Let them go!

Posted on 07/12/2005 8:11:36 PM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Let them go! Let them go!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Well, that is important. Missy Kitty, it's time to let OT up. :-)

Especially since they manage to grow about four extra limbs with LOTS of claws when wet and angry.

Seemingly, anyhow.

Nowadays she seems to do well with periodic combing and brushing.

Heh, well, in our case, we double-teamed Louise, still it twernt easy. LSA wanted to say that we used orange-mango conditioner on Louise. Gypsy thinks she smells 'edible'.

Figured out the snap. How does that work for inside-the-waistband carry? Snap to a belt loop somehow?

The knife and sheath go inside the waistband. The rubber strap goes over the belt, and snaps back on the the other snap. That leaves just a little bit of sheath, and knife handle, sticking above the belt line. There are extra holes in the rubber strap to adjust the size of the loop to match the belt width.

Can any of y'all get to this site?

http://www.novelstars.com/

It's where Jr. is supposed to do his Algebra work. But we can't access it today. Is it just us?

So, I reckon that means Jr. is off the hook for tonight? He's got to finish this up before we go to the beach (two weeks from today). He's behind because of Brazil and was trying to work on it this afternoon.

Much better today. He had a pretty hard time yesterday although he tried to be tough, you know...

But today, Isabelle came up to him and he petted her a bit so they seemed to be comforting each other.

And I'm simply astounded at Puffy. She hasn't picked on Isabelle at all...and Isabelle has actually been hanging out with Puffy! It's amazing. It's like they've buried the hatchet, if you'll excuse the expression! ;-)

I'm still getting that $23 book for 99 cents (plus $3 shipping.) That auction ends in 3 hours.

What a savings!!
