Open Source intended for commercial purposes is merely a knockoff soon to be programmed exclusively in China. Tell that to MS who was letting ie die on the vine until an open source project forced them to start improving it. OSS is good for closed source software and vice versa..

"Die on the vine" is a little harsh but I agree there needed to be some impetus to move things along before Longhorn.
