Hey CC, Ted's music stinks. I did not care about liberal musicians in my early twenties. I hated their politics, but I liked the tunes. BTW, there were many, many conservative dead heads!
Okay...I'll give you that, who cared about politics in their 20's. (me)
Anyway, I have seen every Tull concert I've been able to attend. Memories mix with memories....but evey one of their shows were the best! I got backstage passes in 1999. It was a highlight of my life!

I'd like to see somebody try and call this "Deadhead" a liberal.
Conservative ex-Deadhead and Phish phan here...
Saw the Dead about 20 times from the early 80's thru the 90's.
However, my most memorable two shows are... Johnny Winter.. 1976 or so. After 2 full sets with his band which included Rick Derringer and other notables, about 1/3 of the crowd left after his last encore. Then the lights went down again and Johnny came back out and said, "I feel like jamming a while, if y'all wanna stick around" sat down and played some blistering solo blues guitar till 2 am. Awesome!
Blue Oyster Cult - Saw them first in 1973 for a can of food.. it was a benefit show. Had no idea who they were except a friend told me they were like Black Sabbath but with synthesizers.. That was enough for me, and the price was right. They proceeded to rock my 14 year old ass clean off. I loved that band for many years. They did this guitar orchestra thing where all 5 of them would pick up guitars and stand at the edge of the stage in a line and wail away.. I was never the same after :)
Ted kicks a$$-one of the best guitarists alive!
Count me in!
