Your Best Memories of a Rock Concert (vanity)
Few Remaining Brain Cells | 6/28/05 | Pissant

Posted on 06/28/2005 3:16:46 PM PDT by pissant

Many Freepers grew up in what they considered to be the golden age of Rock concerts. Of course, it may have had more to do with the fact that we were young and fanatical about the music in our youth. These days, ‘ol Pissant prefers the Seattle Symphony Orchestra, Military Band music and Jazz, but I have some very fond memories of the craziness of my Rock concert yesteryears. I’m quite sure many of you have some concert stories that rival and surpass mine. So this thread is the place to share!

Following are 2 concert experiences that left a permanent scar on me! ;o)

I liked J. Geils before they had "hits" and went to poppy.

I can only imagine the rowdiness at a Nugent-AC/DC show! ;o)

It was overwhelming.

A crowd that was there for the music.

Not the "party"

I saw lots of the big names who played 60 minutes to a stoned out crowd.

Bruce and his fans connected.

Rosalita at 1:00 AM with every house light on..............

and every rocker singing along.........exhausted but engaged..............

I miss the E-Street Band.................

Oh boy. Some good ones in there! Gang of FOur and the Clash I would have loved to see. Saw REM in 1989. They kinda stunk, IMO!

Hot August Nights is a car show/thing that takes over the downtown area of Reno.

Occurs just before the National Championship Air Races! (WooHOO)
