Playing in the rain sounds like just as much fun. Oh, for the good ole days.

Thanks for the memories.

We played in the sprinkler with a "slip-and-slide". We always managed to lay it over several rocks and twigs, and they'd rip our bellies open. My brother would always yell, "Your guts, your guts are spilling out!" But they never really were.

We used to have a ball playing in the sprinkler

We also ran a hose on that thing that you could slide on. I forget what they called it but it was fun too!

We used to play in the irrigation ditch! You've never had a good time until you swim against the current on a hot day.

...then again I'm always "swimming upstream" it seems.

When I was a kid, we were so poor, we couldn't afford sprinklers. Besides, we were too busy walking to school in 3' of snow, both ways uphill.

The kids at our family reunion were jumping back and forth thru the sprinklers, and having a ball! Just goes to show, you don't need an expensive pool to keep cool.

And if it gets any hotter today, I may turn the hose on myself!
