6-Month-Old Baby Dies In Hot Truck

MAYPEARL, Texas -- A 6-month-old baby girl has died in North Texas after her parents left her in the family's hot pickup truck outside their church, police said.

The incident happened Thursday outside the Ranch House Cowboy Church on the outskirts of the tiny town of Maypearl, about 36 miles southwest of Dallas.

Maypearl Police Chief Nathan Bickerstaff says Mika Michele Terry was left in the truck for about four hours before she was discovered unconscious.

The child's father told Bickerstaff he was supposed to have dropped Mika off at a day-care center but forgot. He says he went to the church to do some construction work.

It's unclear who found the child, but Bickerstaff says he arrived at the church early Thursday afternoon to find the father holding her body inside the sanctuary. Bickerstaff's efforts at CPR failed.

The child died a short time later at Baylor Medical Center at Waxahachie. An autopsy has been ordered and Child Protective Services and Ellis County authorities are investigating.

The fact that parents sometimes "forget" to drop their kid off at daycare says just how much that kid means to them. This kind of story makes me sick every time I read it. I don't have children, but I know that if I did I would "remember" where they are every minute of the day.

He forgot?!

There was a CSI episode wherein the father, in cahoots with his wife, pretended to have forgotten their child in the back seat of a car in 100 degree weather because the child was going to be diagnosed with an illness that had killed their previous child.

During the investigation, the investigators learned that the child's test came back negative for the illness.

'course, it's possible this fellow here really did forget... or did he?...

I hardly take my dogs with me during the summer simply because I don't want them sitting in the truck for more than a few minutes.

People won't leave a $5 bill on the passenger seat of their car for 5 seconds, let leave a child alone for hours.

Whackos.

And at a church, no less.

I'm familiar with this church, a girlfriend of mine went there. All the guys that she dated from the singles group were losers of the highest order. One guy was a "born again" Christian and she fell for it. At least until she caught him trying to swindle the company he worked for and his insurance company when he "hurt" his back on the job.

After that, we did a little digging. This was not a nice fella.

I saw that episode. Those were very sick parents. I don't see how anyone could kill their child. If you don't want the child, give it up for adoption. There are plenty of loving couples waiting to adopt.

Another child sacrificed to the dictates of Liberal designed to protect us from ourselves. Without even knowing all the details I'd be willing to bet that the child was in the back seat of the pickup since it's probably against the law to place the child in the front seat where he or she would be more visible.

And then there's that whole taking the child to day care thing.

But I won't go there right now.

Unless someone wants to.

This is God's fault? You sure you don't want to blame President Bush while you're at it?

This guy may or may not b telling the truth but there is no question at all that acts have been intentional in the past and will be in the future.

The Law may not be able to figure out who is guilty but God does know.

But then did anyone at the Church say "How is that baby of your's?"

If so HANG HIM!
