Prayers for our troops in the field , their families and our nation and allies as we wage war against Terrorism locally and globally and our enemies, both foreign and domestic, including those serving in this nation's own highest institutions.
After the fiasco last weekend I have a new found respect for NASCAR. They'd never let that happen.
2 weeks till Laguna Seca! I'm a big Rossi fan, but I'd love to see Edwards or Hayden win it.
" Bo is perfectly brainwashed by his caretaker"
He must be gettin the 'Camp Gitmo" technique!
(good food, weather, & excersize!)
HUH???
Repetez apres moi... RIGHT TURNS ARE GOOD... RIGHT TURNS ARE GOOD... RIGHT TURNS ARE GOOD...
see? feel better already, eh?
Right turns are only good in politics, not racing. ;)
Well, if it does rain in Sonoma tomorrow (while I sweat my head off trying out my new camera, hoping it doesn't downpour just before the race starts), the only ringer of note who wouldn't be in the field is Pruett (0 attempts for the #39).
Guess David Stern didn't want the thugs to win again. Good; neither did I.
There is a lot of drivers from the C group not entered this week, but he is.
Ya sayin' he ain't got a chance?
Rusty does good at Sears Point. Did good last year, too.
The forecast isn't for rain in California, and he has a history of finishing well at California in Ganassi's rides, so I'd take him (heck, I'd probably take him before Fellows considering he's in the Tide Slide).
NASCAR: Shane Hmiel's suspension to last until at least 2007

Former Busch Series driver Shane Hmiel, suspended indefinitely earlier this month for a second violation of NASCAR's substance abuse policy, will not allowed to apply for reinstatement until at least 2007, NASCAR officials said. Hmiel was suspended indefinitely June 3 after failing a substance-abuse test. He was suspended in September 2003 after failing a substance-abuse test but completed a prescribed rehabilitation program and was reinstated for NASCAR competition in February 2004. According to a statement released Wednesday, NASCAR will lay out a plan for Hmiel's possible reinstatement in 2007, which will include a rehabilitation program, medical and psychological reviews, as well as frequent testing. NASCAR's substance abuse policy, first adapted in 1988, provides for testing based on reasonable suspicion.
You're right, if you buy a ticket to a NASCAR race, you'll see a race at the advertised distance. F1/Michilen/FIA really pissed of a bunch of people.
Rossi won't be denied another championship. Sete is fast, but it seems like the Dr. can ride by him whenever he wants.
I a big Hayden fan, but he's been a bit disappointing this year (and last.) He's got the equipment; he should start getting on the podium.
The LS round is really going to be big fun. That track is a lot different than anything else on the schedule.
Gave up watching when "Gimme Three Steps", by Skynard, became the motto of the NBA.
Off to work, later.
I took Pruett over Fellows and stuck Mears in just in case.
Along with:
Flash - Smoke
Rusty - Boris - Mikey & yes Crash
A - Flash and Smoke
B - Boris barinov, Crash, Backflipper (I like what he did with an oval car down in Mexico) and Rudd
C - Pruett and Fellows (I thought about Terry, but in the end, I looked at recent performance, or lack thereof).
Once I'm done bloviating about the land grab SCOTUS launched yesterday, it's off to the Mile for me (first practice at 11, so I'll need to be back out of the pits/garage area by 10:30). Pics LATE tonight (I hope).
That was an unbelievable decision, you're not safe even at home these days!!
Have fun, looking forward to pics later!
Too late for qualifying (which is today).
Speaking of weather, they're talking mid-90s here today and a 40-50% chance of storms through Saturday night (not good news for the lone Buschwhacker).
They also had a bit of racing.
