Prayers for our troops in the field , their families and our nation and allies as we wage war against Terrorism locally and globally and our enemies, both foreign and domestic, including those serving in this nation's own highest institutions.
Pretty good crowd. I wonder if they had something else going on there at the track tonite?
He needs to enter the Burn Out contest at the county fair...
Good break. Setzer getting lots of face time lately. Good thing---he's been ready to break out for a couple of years it seems.
See everyone later! NBS tommorrow eve. Have a good evening!

about about
the double the double
Setzer definitely owned the race, and Sprague owned qualifying (Sprague tied the track record despite a record high of 96, and I got the sunburnt arms to prove it). I'm pulling a heap of images off my camera (very few race shots; the shutter is simply too slow, and late in the race, the catch fence screwed up my autofocus).
Pretty much nope. Other than a vintage car race and the Busch boys going through tech, it was all Trucks all day. The Los...er, Brewers were even in town hosting their "natural" interleague rival, the Twins.
Pics coming shortly (I first have to decide which of the over 100 pics I want to share, then upload them to my server).
Muh Twinkies are on a losing streak. :(
Milwaukee 3
Minnesota 1
Victory Lane (just past the finish line, right in front of where I was)
The Grandstands (my seat's over to the left)
Milwaukee's only Sunoco gas station
The Truck Oval Office, where you don't want to be after the race
The 8 crew makes last-minute adjustments before entering the Room of Doom
Entering the Room of Doom, checking the roof and the rear ride height
Onto the scales
Time for the measuring
Next victim....
But first, your polesitter, Jack Sprague (he matched the track record despite temps in the mid-90s)
It wouldn't be Milwaukee without the Usinger's Racing Sausages (for those not familiar, the Polish, Brat, Italian, and Hot Dog run at Milwaukee Brewer home games between the 6th and 7th innings)
The Navy Band performing the National Anthem - great job.
That looks exactly like mine! At least I know you won't gain any ground this week!LOL
Get those right-side tires on (note; I was right in front of Setzer's pit; in fact, I had to move over a seat or two to avoid having a pole cut the pit in two)
Around to the left side
Left-side tires on
Go go go go go!
Congrats to Dennis Setzer for smoking the field and lapping everybody except 4 trucks.
Great shots Steve, thanks!
They had chances, but they blew it. Twice stranding a guy on 3rd with less than 2 out, then leaving the bases loaded after loading them with nobody out. Sounds like somehting the Brewers would do.
Is this the track the motorcycles have raced on for years?
