If we believe the document is real, it still leaves us with many questions. Why would it show $50k due when checks totalling $32,000 had already been deposited on 5/11? Why would it be dated May 20 when the fundraising for the $50k began in late April? Wouldn't there be a document like this estimating the cost of surgery from before the alleged May 10th surgery date?
6. Detractors claim the document is a forgery, except that the document shows that you can contact Kim Scribner at 410-502-2323 to verify its validity.
I guess the "truthseeker" Rob G has never heard of HIPAA. We coudl certainly call Ms. Scribner, but she is prohibited by federal law from providing us with any information about a patient.

No, but if you crossed out the name and took it to the JH admin/billing you could certainly ask if the letter and receipt forms were legit. According to their patient handbook they give patients 2 bills upon check out: one from the hosp and one from the doc. Nothing I've seen hints at their sending out a letter like that. As for the receipts...why would they use those when everything is computerized? Veterinarians don't even use them. People that manage duplexes use them...vendors at craft shows use them...hospitals with computer systems DO NOT. Cindie
