Well,
There WAS that Christmas where she called (I was in town) and INSISTED that she take all of us out for his mother's birthday brunch...

At his best friends restaurant.

I mean, she kept calling and calling and even made reservations etc.

We got there and she was 30 minutes late. In walks Mama Cass (post mortem), sorta an aging hippy chick with bad hair, gothy clothes and whimpy boyfriend stringing behind her.

Oh, by the way, I was in my "Ain't I just the cutest thing" period wearing a short skirt and FMP's. >:> I was ready.

She proceeds to dominate the entire meal, not even acknowledging that I was even at the table. It was rude, and I was major miffed that he (nor mama) called her on it.

We walk out to the car, and she does this dramatic "I've got something in my eye" as tears start pouring down her cheeks and she SA- WOOOOPS into the Ladies restroom.

All I hear on the way home is "Poooooorr J!"
And all I hear the next day with is buddies is "Poooooorr J"

Seems she'd been playing that Poooorrrr J card for 20 plus years in a pseudo-Blance Dubois, Lizzie Borden, Mafia Wiseguy kinda way.

Needless to say, no one thought I was a nice person when I said "Poor J my @##!! She is THE most manipulative, self-centered twit I've ever seen and she's got all of you dancing to her tune!"

Hmmm, wonder if that contributed to it ending ;)
