LOS OLIVOS, Calif. - Michael Jackson's accuser is distressed and having "a difficult time" dealing with the not guilty verdict against the pop singer, the prosecutor in the molestation case said Wednesday.
Santa Barbara County District Attorney Tom Sneddon told NBC's "Today" that he spoke to the accuser immediately after Jackson was acquitted on all counts Monday.
"He's very down. He's having a difficult time understanding why people didn't believe him," Sneddon said.
"He's gone through a lot in his life. He's survived cancer, a very serious bout of cancer," he said. "He didn't necessarily want to get involved in this case. ... It was very painful for him to tell people what had happened to him."

All this time I thought MJ was the victim.
I really feel sorry for the kid. I can't imagine how difficult it must be for him.
This kid was never referred to in the MSM as a "victim" as far as I can recall. (Admittedly, I didn't follow much of this stinky mess.) I wonder if that would have been the case if it had been a female teen.
His Greedy mother - that's why. Poor kid!
Exactly, and I'm still not convinced he actually was guilty, at least in this particular case.
Just watch, within the next 2-3 months, a civil suit will be filed, where the burden of proof is much lower, and where to be honest, I think the mother wanted to be all along, because now she can say she's doing it for justice, not money, because she lost the criminal case. Nevermind that she'd be making millions if she won.
MJ is not the first rich guy this kids family tried to extort.
