for a retread troll like me, where is the safest place from lightning strikes?
phantirath pest, as told to the juwish modz

I live in Fairfax California. I have been for most of my life. I am fed up with the economy, the blackouts the crime and all the liberals. I am thinking of moving and I was wondering if any of you know a good place for an average joe like myself to live in. In a couple weeks I'll have enough money and I can take the greyhound out of here and move out of this dump. Im looking for a place where I can get jobs, not have nasty taxes, some good public transportation in a city and to other cities as well as low crime and good Bible believing churhes. Could any of you help me find a good one?

Florida, probably Tampa area or panhandle.
No state taxes. Tampa has lots of military, and has decent public transportation.
Beautiful year round weather. Good fishing.
South Florida is nice but too many North easterners down here. Getting a bit crowded too.

Call me a skeptic, but there is something about your post that makes me think "troll." (i.e., "In a couple weeks I'll have enough money and I can take the greyhound out of here..." and "Im looking for...some good public transportation in a city...") If you're not a troll, then are you running away from home, or did you just get out of prison? I want to breakout and find somthing to do. My boss is dead, I work and mickey D's and the Salvation Army. I want to go somewhere where I can live in peace. Im not demanding, I dont need too many luxuries or anything, just a safe neighborhood with caring Christians, a good woman who is pretty and godly and that's it.

NOT Dallas, TX proper. If you are interested in TX, I would suggest one of the suburbs in the DFW area. Particularly, any city in Denton County. Heard Denton Cty has one of the highest rates of Republicans in the nation. Every elected position in the county is held by a Republican. Housing is affordable. Crime rate is rather low. Schools are good. Lewisville ISD had two HSs place in the top 1000 in the nation, The Colony HS and Marcus HS, Flower Mound.

"Used to be a secretary now working at McDonald's and for the Salvation army. All Part time."
You're complaining about taxes? Working part time at McDonald's is honest, honorable work, but I can't imagine you're paying any state or federal income tax. I think i smell a troll. DUer baiting us somehow, but i don't get the angle. Then again I'm not a socialist so i could never be smart enough to figure out such a clever scheme as a DUer could concoct.

what about Des moines and St. Paul/Minneanapolis? I heard Des Moines might be good. You can live South without paying a fortune for AC if you are tough. So9

All work is honorable. I just want to find somthing better along the way. Is that a problem?

Be aware that if you move to the South, even the poorest of the poor have a car, or two. Public transportation is not big outside of large cities.

okay then I will keep that in mind. Just as long as gas isn't high and that they don't have mandatory insurance

I'm going to take you seriously. You are the right age, go talk to a recruiter, California Guard, Coast Guard, or military. You say you want to get out, and do something, and I think you should.
My son just re-enlisted as a reservist, my nephew the genius just enlisted as a marine, I saw what military life did for my son and I highly recommend it. Don't wait, go see the man today.

Then we look forward to another self-styled individual who believe we (with G-D) are masters of our own lives, moving to the gulf coast!

I think your post is harmless.
Not disruptive nor baiting.
Thing is, when you join the very day you post your first thread, and it is a "vanity" thread, you open yourself up to a good looking over.
Move out, move on with your life, stay with MD's if need be wherever you end up.
Community College is a place to get grounded and skills.
And, at age 23, the military is always an option.

Don't like mandatory insurance for autos, how long are the mods gonna let us play with this troll.

I can't I have a record. Did somthing stupid when I was in Middle school. Besides. My old boss told me some stuff about the war but then again he was insane. Could I work as a civilian perhaps?
