phantirath pest, as told to the juwish modz

I live in Fairfax California. I have been for most of my life. I am fed up with the economy, the blackouts the crime and all the liberals. I am thinking of moving and I was wondering if any of you know a good place for an average joe like myself to live in. In a couple weeks I'll have enough money and I can take the greyhound out of here and move out of this dump. Im looking for a place where I can get jobs, not have nasty taxes, some good public transportation in a city and to other cities as well as low crime and good Bible believing churhes. Could any of you help me find a good one?

Raleigh N.C., a few hours west and you have beautiful mountains and a few hours east the wonderful beaches.

Northern Nevada. Real people, big country, reasonable housing, lots of jobs and no state income tax.

Not Dallas, not Austin. But there are plenty of jobs, no state income tax, good public transportation, low crime and a church practically on every corner. We love the Hill Country, did fine for a half-dozen years in the panhandle, and look forward to retiring near San Antonio one of these days. Yup, Texas would fit your needs quite nicely.

If you want good public transport, you are gonna have to give up all your other desires and move to a Democrat/socialist high crime high tax city.
Get a car or give it up.

    Dallas.

 Austin.

Jobs to be had, excellent schools all around (continuing ed), and public transport.

Oh, and did I mention stay away from San Antonio?

Here's a start, avoid the blue stained areas on this map until the stains have been removed. :)

North Carolina (IMO), I like SC as well (but doesn't have the access to things you seek).

NC is the way to go (the triangle area).

I use to travel alot for work to different places in the US and many of the big cities sound nice but their warts show once you get to spend more time there.

First let me welcome you to FR, however, posting a vanity on your first day will give you plenty of fire here. Are you truly interested in an answer or are you being disruptive.

Well I came to Gastonia NC in 85 sorta under the same circumstances, It was like stepping 30 years back in the past. Doesn't take a lot of money to live and and you can get a car cheap. It will take a while to get use to and you need to leave anything you've learned in CA there because it doesn't apply here. You're single, give it a shot, if you don't like it you can always move on.

That rules out Dallas Texas. One of the highest crime rates in the nation.

You probably couldn't hack it here in N.MN. But I'll tell you, it'd take about $10,000,000 to make me move to Ca.

    Sorry, we're full up.
Reminds me of a bumper sticker I saw recently:
"Welcome to North Carolina. Now, go home."
