No, the American system of justice is NOT the best in the world.
Actually, it is probably the WORST in the civilized world.
The Civil Law system of justice all across Europe produces more consistently just results than the American travesty.
So does the Common Law system in England.
American Justice is a roulette wheel in civil court, and utterly predictable in criminal court. In American criminal court, status, money and race are the prime determinants of outcome.

MJ has built in insurance...no parent in their right mind would have anything to do with him, so he can prey on the children of nutcases...with impunity, it appears.
One person in the MSM mentioned that this was a little different than the OJ travesty. With OJ there was a lot of physical evidence that was ignored.
I personally don't think this verdict was "celebrity justice" - I think the jury would've found him guilty if there was real solid evidence and not alot to make them doubt the credibility of the family in question. With the MJ trial everything hinged on whether or not the jury believed the child and the family's accusations.... apparently they did not.
I don't think we know for sure whether molestations happened or not. I do realize that just because he was found "not guilty" doesn't mean nothing happened. I fervently believe OJ was guilty - Not so sure about MJ - even though he is quite a "strange child".
California could save a lot of money by just issuing a free pass to all rich and/or famous. Why not just dispense with the whole expensive and cumbersome trial system? If you're rich and/or famous, you automatically walk.
