Some of our most cherished memories in life revolve around sharing a drink with loved ones and friends. A fine bottle of Cabernet with your spouse on your anniversary. A 12 year old scotch with your father. Shots of tequila with the girl you've been after for months. Etc, Etc.
There are certainly people in our history and living today, that I would give my left nu.., er little toe, to share a beer and a long-winded conversation with. The following is off the top of my head, and hundreds more could be included:
LIVING:
3. Bob Dylan - my all time favorite enigmatic musician
2. Donald Rumsfeld - A real man amongst girly men
1. Mark Steyn - perhaps the most insightful, wittiest man on the planet
DEAD
3. Ernest Hemmingway - one of the few writers of fiction I love.
2. Ronald Reagan - The hero of our times
1. Ben Franklin - My alltime favorite historical figure.
LOL!
Rachel Ray is engaged...
Keep looking.....
;-)
Since when are all engaged persons destined for marriage? I know of a couple examples...
....she also helped me on the lessons I missed from other classes.
I will be forever grateful to her and would like to tell her that again.
Like Laura Ingraham....
Find out what happened and get back to me.
Please.
That's a great story. Thanks for sharing it.
I'll ask her tonight.
Having a beer (if I was still drinking alcohol) with you, Mike Hailwood and Sterling Moss would be too cool. :)
I'm 34.
Who said anything about talking?
Also Absinthe; But I get pretty morose&strange when I drink too much, so I thought we'd go well together. :)
She back on the market.
When she made the announcement that the wedding was off she mad it sound like he left her or she left him.
HMMMM.
Beer?

Yes, my dad is still alive. He's seventy something, and he is an absolute bad ass. I would love to have known him when he was a young strapping troublemaker.
I can't think of anyone I'd want to drink ONE measly beer with.
Yes, I recorded it. I love it.
Sense and Sensibility is my favorite book. Emma Thompson's screenplay was a wonderful one. Pretty darn close to the book.
